DÉBORA RODRIGUES NASCEU NA ILHA DE PORTO SANTO EM 1982.

DEU SEUS PRIMEIROS PASSOS NO MUNDO DO ESPECTÁCULO COM APENAS 9 ANOS DE IDADE, PISANDO ASSIM OS PALCOS EM TEATRO E REVISTA. COM APENAS 10 ANOS DÉBORA ACHOU QUE REPRESENTAR NÃO LHE BASTAVA, POIS SEU SONHO APENAS SE TORNARIA COMPLETO QUANDO DESSE SUA VOZ Á CANÇÃO.

FEZ CASTING PARA O GRUPO JUVENIL OS ONDA CHOC, ONDE FICOU LOGO APURADA, 1 MÊS DEPOIS GRAVOU O PRIMEIRO TRABALHO DISCORÁFICO CARIMBADO PELA EDITORA SONY MUSIC. AINDA COM 10 ANOS DÉBORA COMEÇOU A TER AULAS DE EXPRESSÃO CORPORAL E CANTO COM A GRANDE CANTORA ANA FARIA ( QUEIJINHOS FRESCOS).

NUNCA DEIXANDO O TEATRO DE LADO, ESTE VEIO PROPOR-LHE O MAIOR DESAFIO DE SEMPRE, REPRESENTAR AMÁLIA RODRIGUES, OU SEJA CANTAR FADO, CHEIA DE MEDO, MAS OPTIMISTA, DÉBORA ACEITA E DESCOBRE ASSIM OUTRO AMOR, O NOSSO FADO.

COM 11 ANOS DE IDADE DÉBORA CONCORRE NO PROGRAMA OS PRINCIPAIS , ONDE FOI SEMPRE APURADA ATÉ A GRANDE FINAL NO COLISEU DO PORTO.
CONTINUOU SEU PERCURSO NO TEATRO, CANÇÃO, FADO E ONDA CHOC ONDE GRAVOU 4 ÁLBUNS.

COM 16 ANOS É CONVIDADA A SER MEMBRO DA BANDA DO MESMO PROGRAMA A QUE CONCORRERA EM CRIANÇA, OS PRINCIPAIS, TRABALHANDO ASSIM PARA A 625 ÁUDIO VISUAIS POR 1 ANO.
DEU VOZ A VÁRIOS GENÉRICOS DE TV, EX COMPANHIA DO RISO.
AINDA COM 16 ANOS DÉBORA DECIDE QUE FADO É EM CASAS DE FADO, ENTÃO COMEÇA A FAZER PARTE DO ELENCO DE VÁRIAS CASAS, TAIS COMO, GRAND..TASCA, SR VINHO ( ONDE CONHECEU E SE TORNOU AMIGA DO GRANDE MARIO RAINHO), PARREIRINHA DE ALFAMA LUSO E POR FIM FAIA, ONDE ESTEVE 6 ANOS.

PERCORREU EUROPA E ESTADOS UNIDOS LEVANDO A VÁRIAS SALAS SUA VOZ, SEU FADO.

EM 2000, PARTICIPA A CONVITE DE GERARDO RODRIGUES, SEU AMIGO DE À LONGA DATA, COMO CORISTA EM DUAS CANÇÕES SUAS NO 37º FESTIVAL RTP DA CANÇÃO (AVE CEGA-PEDRO PORTAS E SONHOS MÁGICOS-LIANA).

TAMBEM EM 2000, DÉBORA É CONVIDADA A PARTICIPAR NUM GRANDE ESPECTÁCULO EM SEVILHA DO GRANDE SALVADOR TAVORA, ESTE ESPECTÁCULO OCORREU NO PALÁCIO DOS CONGRESSOS, FADO TOUROS E FLAMENCO, NESTA ARENA DÉBORA CONTRACENOU COM OS GRANDES TOUREIROS A CAVALO, OS IRMÃOS PERALTA E CANTOU COM GRANDES VOZES DA MUSICA ESPANHOLA.

EM 2001, É DE NOVO CONVIDADA A SER CORISTA NUMA DAS CANÇÕES DO FESTIVAL RTP DA CANÇÃO (4º ELIMINATÓRIA-EDEN).

AINDA NÃO REALIZADA, DÉBORA COMEÇA A CANTAR JAZZ COM O GRANDE PIANISTA CARLOS AZEVEDO, PROFESSOR NO HOTCLUB, FAZENDO ALGUNS ESPECTÁCULOS NESTE CAMPO. MAIS TARDE DÉBORA É CONVIDADA A SER AGENCIADA PELA C2E, ONDE PARA ALÉM DE INDIVIDUAL, FORMOU DOIS PROJECTOS, TEMPO DE INTIMIDADES COM MUSICAS DE TÓ ZÉ BRITO E JOÃO BALULA CID,E MELODIAS A 3, ONDE DÉBORA CANTA COM O CHICO SOBRAL E COM A SUA GRANDE AMIGA E COMPANHEIRA ANITA GUERREIRO.

NESTE MOMENTO TAMBÉM É AGENCIADA ( NÃO COMO EXCLUSIVA) PELA CAIXA DE MUSICA E PELA MEGA MODELS.

COMO SEU PROFESSOR DE TÉCNICA VOCAL, DÉBORA ESCOLHEU UM DOS MELHORES, O PROFESSOR RUI DE MATOS, NÃO APENAS POR SER O PROFESSOR DOS NOSSOS MELHORES CANTORES PORTUGUESES, MAS SIM POR SER O MELHOR.

DÉBORA RODRIGUES born in Porto Santo Island (Portugal) in 1982.

She gave her first steps in the show music when she was only 9.
Therefore, she performed in theatre with 10.
However, was not happy because she felt representation was not enough because her aim was to become a singer.

Fortunately, the opportunity to make a casting for new music band arose, and she was chosen to join the “Onda Choc” band.
This band succeeds and a month later they recorded with the label Sony Music.

So, at the same time, Débora took corporal and expression lessons giving her the opportunity to sing with the great singer, Ana Faria.

In the meantime, she never left theatre and when she was 11, she had been invited to make a role of our biggest artist – Amália Rodrigues.
Débora, at that time, considered that it was a big challenge for her because she had to sing fado.
It was with fear but also with happiness she accepted to do this work.
The result of this step was her discovery in fado music.

When Débora was 11, took part in a national competion “Os Principais” and was selected to the great final which took place in the Coliseu do Porto.

Meanwhile, 4 albums of “Onda Choc” were recorded in which Débora took part as well.
Débora had been also invited, when she was 16, to be a member of that band integrating programs and TV shows making therefore 625 audio visual for a period of one year.

However, she felt to sing Fado the best would be to perform it in typical restaurants.
So, she began to sing in several Portuguese typical places, such as “Sr. Vinho”, “Grande Tasca”, “Parreirinha de Alfama”, “Luso” and the latest “O Faia” where she performed for 6 years.

Also, she made several concerts in United States of America, Canada and Europe.

In 2000, she was invited by Gerardo Rodrigues, her long time friend, to participate as a backsinger in 2 of his songs, competing in the "Festival RTP da Canção" ("Ave Cega-Pedro Portas and Sonhos Mágicos-Liana).

Also in 2000, Débora was invited to take part in a Great Festival in Sevilha (Spain) of Salvador Tavora.
This show “ Fado, Touros e Flamenco” took place at the Palace of Congresses.

Débora acted together with the great Spanish names of bullfighting such as the “Peralta brothers” and sang also with great Spanish singers.

In 2001 was again invited as a backsinger in a song competing in the "Festival RTP da Canção" (4th Semi-Final - Eden).

Nevertheless, Débora was not satisfied and decided to sing jazz with Professor Carlos Azevedo, a great piano player who worked at that time in the very popular “Hot Club”.

In this area she made also some concerts.
Then, the Portuguese producer C2E invited her to be included in his agency and 2 new projects born.
In both, Débora gives her voice together with the musicians TóZé Brito and João Balula Cid – “Tempo de Intimidades” and the other called “Melodias a 3” Débora join her voice to Anita Guerreiro and Chico Sobral .

Débora works also with other Agencies “Caixa de Música” and “Mega Models” having as vocal teacher one of the best, the Professor Rui de Matos.
